Quizzes and Hospital Appointments

Phew, Thursday night was a nerve wracking night. You see I’m on the school quiz team and we had a quiz against two other schools. The good news is we won… but not easily like in the last round. The final score was 94-92-76.
It was nerve wracking because I had to get my question right for us to win. Fortunately my question was “Where are Ireland in the Rugby world rankings” and thanks to my dad and I being complete sport nuts I knew that the answer was fourth. But then the last team had to get their question wrong for us to win… and they did!!! So now we are down to the last 16 in the country!!! We will have another quiz after the Easter holidays! Oh did I not mention that? I have two whole lovely beautiful weeks off school to do whatever I please… which will probably study… and I’m also going to a college open day but anyway…
Due to crohn’s being a long-term illness I had to go to the hospital yesterday for an appointment with my consultant. Anyway, I checked in and I was waiting for like 45 minutes and I still hadn’t been weighed and I asked the nurse what the craic was… stupid receptionist hadn’t checked me in right… so then I had to wait around even longer.
Sadly, the prof (my consultant-everyone calls him that) is not at all happy with the last blood test I had… my iron is low, my protein is low and the inflammation levels are high! So I had to have another blood test… which thankfully took only one attempt (The last time it took three and I had a very sore hand).
So now I have to find a load of useless information for this quiz after Easter.
Later
Sal
