The Debs, Exams and ABBA

Dia Dhuit a chara!

Conas ata tu? Ta me go maith. Gabh mo leithsceal... I mean excuse me. Sorry about that. I'm after writing an Irish essay so I'm thinking as gaeilge at the moment! I still have a French essay. But, you know, it's next to impossible to do French homework after Irish homework (and vice versa) because you're always thinking in the other language. To be quite honest, it's a bit of a pain.

Anyway, wait until I tell you about the goings on in school. We must have the WORST debs committee that our school has ever seen! The tell each other absolutely nothing! And we are the ones who are going to suffer because of it. Two of the 16 members took it upon themselves to hold a vote amongst the year (without consulting the head boy and girl- which I tell you did not go down to well). But you know, I don't trust them one bit. The pair of them want to go to this hotel that is like lightyears away and most of us voted for one that was a lot closer to home but it appears that the lightyears-away-hotel has won out... Such a coincidence that no one saw them counting the votes- I think not.

I had two home ec exams this week and one business exam. The home ec ones were on Carbohydrates and Consumer studies. The business one was on Ratios. I haven't got the results of the home ec ones but I got 92% (highest in the class boo-ya!) in the business one!
I have a load coming up this week, so I really should be studying- but sure how and ever. I have an ecology exam in biology, a lipid exam in Home ec, an insurance exam in business and I also have ANOTHER English essay to hand up. This will be the fourth one this year. We have to write about the poetry of Robert Frost though so it's not so bad. I mean, who couldn't enjoy The Road Not Taken or The Tuft Of Flowers... they are both brilliant.

I hope ye were all watching Strictly Come Dancing on saturday night. It is the only reality show worth watching... Anyway, I was very annoyed with that pig Craig about what he said of Gethin! He had to be the best dancer of the night and all the judges (except Len- wonderful Len) complained about him. Very irritating I have to say! Tricky Dicky aka Brian Capron was a bit wooden though I have to say. And I didn't like Kenny Logan at all... he's a narky git isn't he? I can't wait for the results show tonight... C'mon Gethin!

I'm listening to ABBA at the moment... one of the best pop bands EVER! I don't care if people think they're cheesy all they're songs make you feel so happy and giddy! ABBA ROCK!!! My favourite songs have to be Gimme Gimme Gimme and Lay All Your Love On Me. I've even seen the musical Mamma Mia... it's absolutely brilliant too... I just wanted to jump on the stage and dance along with the cast!!!

I've finally finished another book... I know I know, it took me ages but I've been a busy little bee (Buzz buzz) over the past month with school and all. But I just finished Shall We Tell The President by the brilliant Jeffrey Archer... I tell you, my heart was in my mouth towards the end of the book.... what a cracker!!!
By the way, you should really read Kane and Abel and The Prodigal Daughter first. Them books are just as good... if not better!
The father is going 50 on the 24th of this month, so this week was the perfect oppurtunity to buy his pressie because he's golfing in Portugal for the week (he's back tomorrow). Anyway, the mother, the sister and I bought him an MP3 player. I put all the songs on it on Friday night. It's full with Leonard Cohen and Coldplay and Queen and believe it or not my Dad even likes some of The Killers songs so they went on it too!
Anyway, I've gotta go do my French homework
